This 20" x 12" portrait of Tennis Hall of Famer Bill Tilden shows a pensive and somber man. Tilden was once cut from the University of Pennsylvania tennis team, but he worked hard and improved quickly. Tilden became the top player in the world by winning the U.S. Nationals six years and leading the United States to seven straight Davis Cup Championships. He won the title at Wimbledon twice, becoming the first American to do so. This original work of art originally hung at the Indiana Sports Hall of Fame.
