Archie Moore fought for an incredible 27 years and knocked out 141 opponents, more than anyone else in the history of boxing. At the age of 39, he was named Light Heavyweight Champion, and he is the only man to have fought both Muhammad Ali and Rocky Marciano. After a legendary boxing career, the former World Light Heavyweight Champion applied to become a referee at age 50. Moore filled out this 8.5" x 13" double-sided application form for a referee's license on October 7, 1964. A 2" x 2" black/white photo of Moore has been taped in the upper left corner. Moore signed the back in blue ball point pen, his signature rating a 9. Moore's signature comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. The application also comes with an additional letter of authenticity.
