Mario Lemieux is considered one of the greatest hockey players of all time as well as one of the most decorated. He has topped the 100 point mark in ten seasons with five selections to the NHL First All-Star team. This home mesh jersey was worn on 2/12/03 vs. Ottawa Senators. In the neck of the jersey is a label reading "Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Authentic Steve Latin, Equipment Manager." Latin signed this label in black marker. Below this is the size tag "56." Written on this label is the player number "66C" in black marker. The letter "C" denotes "Captain." On the front of the jersey is the Penguins emblem in black/white/gold tackle twill and on the back is the name "Lemieux." The player number "66" appears on the back of the jersey as well as on each sleeve. On the upper left front is the letter "C" denoting "Captain." The letters and numbers are made of black ribbed tackle twill on gold tackle twill. On the fighting strap is "2/12 Ottawa" in black marker. The jersey came directly from Mario Lemieux. It shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
