Few people can legitimately claim to be legends, but for Bob Griese the term "legend" is used with great regularity. Griese was the poised leader of a classic ball-control offense that generated an awesomely efficient running attack; three AFC championships in 1971, 1972 and 1973; and victories in Super Bowls VII and VIII. Fans of the gridiron know that he is the only quarterback in NFL history to lead a team, the 1972 Miami Dolphins, to an undefeated championship season. On the left front tail of this white mesh jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size, "L." On the back of the jersey is a white mesh nameplate with the name "Griese" in aqua letters. The player number "12" appears on the front, back and on each sleeve of the jersey. The numbers are aqua on orange. The letters and numbers have been ironed-on. The sleeves have been custom-cut. There is an autograph on the back number "1" which rates a strong 8. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA.DNA.The jersey shows game use and, with the exception of the custom-cut sleeves, appears to have no other alterations of any kind. The jersey comes with an additional letter from noted Dolphins collector Pat Catello.
