Dan Marino is one of the most recognizable and popular sports figures in the entire world. During his 17 seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Marino managed to rewrite the NFL record book by establishing 20 records while becoming the most prolific passer in NFL history. This helmet was made for the 1987-88 season but was never used in a game. The sticker on the reverse reads "Rawlings, AIMS" (advanced impact management system) and this sticker is removed when a helmet is inspected and ready for game use. The face mask is from 1985. The side panel is boldly autographed in black Sharpie and rates a 9. The helmet grades VG-EX. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA. The helmet comes with an additional letter from noted Dolphins collector Pat Catello.
