Shannon Sharpe re-signed with the Denver Broncos as a free agent on April 12, 2002, after two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he won his third Super Bowl in 2000. The 12-year veteran is the NFL's all-time leader in receptions (692) and yards by a tight end (8,604). He has been voted to eight Pro Bowls in his Hall of Fame worthy career. This jersey was worn during Super Bowl XXXll. In the neck of the jersey is a white label reading "97-44," denoting the year and size, respectively. Inside the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and below this is the name "Broncos" in white embroidered stitch. On the left front tail is the "Nike" label and adjacent is the size tag "L." On the back of the shirt is a blue nameplate with the name "Sharpe" in white tackle twill. The player number "84" appears on the front, back, and on each shoulder of the jersey in white on orange tackle twill. On the upper left front is the "Super Bowl XXXll" patch. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
