He was called Sweetness, but to defenders Walter Payton was anything but sweet. Payton was an unstoppable force running with the ball, had great hands as a receiver out of the backfield, and could throw a devastating block that would knock defenders out of their socks. This Payton Chicago Bears road white mesh jersey is circa 1985. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with the size "44." The player number "34" appears on the front, back, and each sleeve of the jersey. On the back of the jersey is a white mesh nameplate with the player name "Payton." The initials "GSH" appear on the left sleeve to commemorate the death of legendary Bears coach George Halas. All of the letters and numbers are screened on in black with an orange outline. The jersey has several team repairs. It shows good game use and, with the exception of the team repairs, appears to have no alterations of any kind.
