Offered here are three basketball trophies dating back to the early 1900s. Each has been inscribed to the recipient and dated. The most ornate dates to "1900" and is inscribed "Basket Ball, won by, H.C. Whitcomb Capt., C.M. Kendall, L.H. Philbrook, J.H. Fisher, P.R. Schrager." It stands just shy of 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition, needing only a good polish. The next also dates from "1900" and has been inscribed similarly to the first. It stands just taller than the other and is in similar condition. Both of these have the "Massachusets Sportsmen's Association Incorporated" seal on the reverse. The last is a figural example with the basketball player in mid-shot mounted on top of what appears to be a plastic base. It bears an inscribed metal plate reading "1st Place S.P.H.A 1919." It stands a foot tall and is in excellent condition.
