John Havlicek was easily the best sixth man in NBA history, adding firepower to the Boston Celtics' offense and defense during his 16 years with the team. During those years, Havlicek's teams won eight championship rings while he became the first player to score 1,000 points in each of 16 consecutive seasons. It was for Havlicek's leadership and incredible endurance as much as for his scoring ability that legendary Celtics coach Red Auerbach called him "the guts of the team." This Havlicek Boston Celtics road green knit jersey is from the mid 1970s. On the left front tail is the "Sand-Knit" Boston Celtics exclusive tag and below it is the "Medalist Sand-Knit" size tag with the size "44". The team name "Celtics" is sewn across the front of the jersey and the player name "Havlicek" is sewn across the back. The player number "17" appears on both the front and back of the jersey. All the letters and numbers are made of white tackle twill. Havlicek has signed the back number "7" in black Sharpie with an autograph that rates a 9. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a PSA/DNA letter of authenticity.
