Named the 2002 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Wallace scored 7.6 ppg and averaged 13.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game that season to join Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Walton and 12-time NBA All-Star Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players in NBA history to lead the league in rebounds and blocks in the same season. On the left front tail is the "Nike" manufacturer's tag with the size "50" and below it is a tag reading "Length +4." To the left of the manufacturer's tag is a Pistons logo tag and to the right is an NBA logo tag. Inside the left tail are the wash tag and the year tag "2001-02." The NBA logo is embroidered onto the left shoulder and on the right shoulder is a red, white, and blue flag and ribbon patch. The team name "Pistons" appears on the front of the jersey and the player number "3" appears on the front and back, all in red on blue tackle twill. The player name "Wallace" has been sewn onto the back in blue tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
