During his 11 seasons with the Phoenix Suns, Walter Davis earned himself a reputation as one of the deadliest shooters in the game. "The Man with the Velvet Touch" shot a sizzling 53 percent during his rookie run and became the second player in franchise history to be named Rookie of the Year. On the left front tail of this road jersey is the year "87" in black embroidered stitch and next to this is a a white label with the year "88" written in blue marker. Next to this is the "Sand-Knit" exclusive label and below this is another "Sand-Knit" label with the size "44." Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Phoenix" in orange on white tackle twill and on the back is the player name "Davis" in white tackle twill. The player number "6" appears on both the front and back of the jersey in orange on white tackle twill. On the upper left front is the "NBA" patch and on the upper right front is a memorial patch with the number "30" in white embroidered stitch. In the waistband of the shorts is a white patch with the year "88" in blue marker. Next to this are two "Sand-Knit" labels. The first is the exclusive label and the second is the label with the waist size "36." The player number "6" is written on this label in blue marker. The next two labels read "1"HR" and "1" LI." They are done in black embroidered stitch. The first denotes one inch higher rise and the second denotes one inch longer inseam. The jersey and shorts show game use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
