In French "le mieux" means the best, and Mario was nothing short of that. Unfortunately, Lemieux suffered from Hodgkin's disease and consequently was never healthy enough to complete an entire NHL season. Lemieux was 6'4" and 210 lbs with the mobility of a fox; nobody could stop his assault on NHL goalies. On the back right tail of the jersey is the "CCM" manufacturer's patch. On the front of the jersey is the Penguins team logo patch screened on. On the left breast is a "C" screened on in yellow indicating that he was the Captain. On both sleeves is the player number "66" screened on in black on white. Inside the back of the collar is the "Maska" manufacturer's tag. On the back is also the player number screened on yellow on white. Across the back of the jersey is "LEMIEUX" screened on in yellow. The fight strap is still intact. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The jersey also comes with an additional LOA.
