Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier will be forever linked as a result of their three wars in the ring. Never were there two great champions at the prime of their fighting careers matched against each other. Ali (reinstated in 1970 from refusing military service) first met Frazier in March 8, 1971 at Madison Square Garden. Ali's rust from being barred from the ring proved too much as Frazier out-pointed him. Three years later, Ali avenged the loss by defeating Frazier in their rematch on January 22, 1974. For these two giants, the third match would be for "all the marbles." It happened on October 1, 1975 in what was billed the "Thrilla in Manila." Non-stop action continued for 14 rounds until a battered, exhausted Joe Frazier failed to answer the bell. Ali wore these Everlast trunks in 1975 while training for the match. The trunks are white satin with black satin trim. On the waistband is the Everlast label that reads "Made expressly for Muhammad Ali." This is a true piece of history hailing from what many consider the greatest heavyweight fight ever. A detailed letter of authenticity accompanies these trunks that describe their provenance in full description.
