When John McEnroe, the poster boy for bad behavior, took the court, stadiums were filled and television sets were on. This "Dunlap 200G" racket has been signed by McEnroe on the throat in black marker. Inside the neck is a sticker with stringing information which reads "McEnroe 55lbs due 8/21". Connors at times was the antithesis of McEnroe, exuding a quiet confidence which at times erupted in excitement. He was a crowd favorite and in 1989, when he played in his twentieth U. S. Open at the age of thirty-seven he reached his peak in popularity. This "Wilson US Open" tennis ball has been signed by Connors in black marker. The signatures for the racket and ball both rate 8s, and come with a letter from PSA/DNA as well as an additional LOA for the racket.
