As if to say, "Ty Cobb was the greatest ball player ever to live," would not be an overstatement. His name has always been brought up with others such as Babe Ruth and Ted Williams. Throughout his career, he was never known for power, but for his successive hits, and batting average. To this day, he still has the highest career batting average - .366. When he retired after the 1928 season, he held 90 major league records. But his skill as a hitter is almost overshadowed by his reputation as the fiercest competitor ever. Outstanding centering on the card, and a great yellow and white background. The center of the card, depicting Cobb, is almost crystal clear, showing a red-faced baseball player. This card is graded a MINT 9 by Global Authentication. It has four, very sharp corners, and no marks at all. In the M116 series, it is extremely hard to find a card in such excellent condition. This card is truly the best of the best, and what more could you want from a 93 year old card?
