Gilbert Raymond Hodges was among the best of the best during his 18 season span in the big leagues. Gil had a lifetime batting average of .273, and finished his career with 1,921 hits. Gil played in seven World Series with the Dodgers, his first six in Brooklyn, and his last in L.A. Hodges is one of the most known and affable Dodgers of all time. Gil was also an eight time All-Star, and a three time Gold Glover at his home of first base. Inside the front left tail of the jersey is a tag with wash instructions. Attached is a tag reading "SET 1 1960." On the front left tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings Hall of Fame FLANNEL" manufacturer's tag. Attached is a size tag reading "46." Below that is "Hodges 60" stitched in blue embroidery indicating player name and number. Across the front of the jersey is "Dodgers" done in blue felt. Below that is the player number "14" done in red felt. The player number "14" is also on the back done in blue felt. The jersey shows game-use, and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
