A three-time All-Star and 1984 NL Cy Young award winner, Rick Sutcliffe was the Dodgers first round pick in the 1971 draft. On the left breast of the jersey is the "CUBS" logo patch done in red, white, and blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a "CUBS" logo patch done in red, white, and blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve is "Rawlings" done in white tackle twill. On the neck is a "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with a size "48" on it. Below is a code tag reading "40 87 2 48" indicating the player's number, the year 1987, set two, and size forty eight respectively. On the back of the jersey is "SUTCLIFFE" and below it "40" both done in red on white tackle twill. On the back of the waistband on the pants is a "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with a size "39." Adjacent to that is a code tag reading "40 88 2 39 27" indicating the player's number, the year, set two, size, and a 27 inch inseam respectively. Both the jersey and pants show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
