Reggie Jackson perhaps epitomizes the phrase "clutch performer" better than anyone who has ever played the game. In a span of seven years from 1972-78, "Mr. October" won five World Championships and electrified the baseball world in 1977 when he hit three consecutive homers in three consecutive swings in game six against the L.A. Dodgers. The all-time leader in World Series slugging percentage with a lofty .755, Jackson performed best when it counted the most. He is sixth all-time in homeruns with 563 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993. This is an Oakland Athletics home white flannel vest jersey worn by Reggie Jackson during the 1970 season. On the left tail is the "McAuliffe's" manufacturer's label and below this are the year tag "70" and the size tag "44." On the left breast of the jersey is the team name "A's" and on the right breast is the player number "9." The number "9" also appears on the back of the jersey. All of the letters and numbers are made of green on yellow tackle twill. The player name "Jackson" is on the back of the jersey in green tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and has no alterations of any kind. This jersey has impeccable provenance and is quite rare because of the original name on the back. It comes with a letter tracing its history.
