Eric Chavez was a two-time All-American in high school and he was the A's first round pick in 1996. Inside the front left tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions. Attached is a flag tag reading "48" indicating jersey size, and a flag tag reading "SET 1 2001." Across the front of the jersey is "Athletics." Below that and on the back is the player number "3." Below the number on the front the jersey is autographed in grey marker rating an 8. On the back of the neck of the jersey is the official "MLB" logo patch. Across the back on a green nameplate is "CHAVEZ." All lettering and numbering is done in yellow on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the A's logo patch. Below that is the "Rawlings" logo. The jersey shows game-use, appears to have no alterations of any kind, and the autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
