Cal Ripken Jr. was a show stopper, HOFer, two-time AL MVP, and in 1999 he was named to the All-Century team. On the front left tail of the jersey is a "RUSSELL ATHLETIC" manufacturer's tag with wash instructions. Attached is a material tag, "2"EXTRALENGTH" tag, and a year tag "1999." Across the front of the jersey is "Orioles" done in orange, black, and white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is an "Oriole" logo patch. On the right sleeve done in black, orange, and white tackle twill is "7" in memory of his father Cal Sr. who passed away that year. Below that is "R" indicating the manufacturer Russell. Across the back of the jersey is "RIPKEN" done in orange, black, and white tackle twill. Below that is "8" done in orange, black, and white tackle twill. This jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
