A 6'2'' guard from Toledo, Paul Seymour played 15 years of professional basketball, 13 of which were spent as a member of the Syracuse Nationals. Seymour played in three NBA all-star games and was named 2nd Team All NBA in 1953-54 and 1954-55. He still holds the NBA Playoff record for minutes played in a game (67), set March 21, 1953 in a quadruple overtime thriller in Boston. The jacket seen here was worn by Seymour during his hey day in 1950s when he played for the Nationals, who went on to become the Philadelphia 76ers. It is a red satin size 44 made by the Coane Co. and reads "Syracuse Nats" in individual lettering in blue tackle twill on the reverse. Seymour's number "5" is situated on the left sleeve, also in blue tackle twill, on the jacket, which shows excellent use and presents quite nicely. The jacket comes with a COA signed by a former 76ers employee who obtained it during his time with the Philadelphia organization.
