George Thomas Seaver was a franchise power pitcher who helped change the New York Mets from lovable losers into formidable foes. The quintessential professional, "Tom Terrific" won 311 games with a 2.86 ERA over 20 seasons. Seaver fanned 3,640 batters in his career, including 200 or more 10 times and 19 in a single game once. "Number 41" was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1967 and a three-time Cy Young Award winner. This "New Era" manufactured "PRO MODEL" cap shows excellent game-use with sweat stains and wear on the inner band as well as discoloration of the brim. The brim is also cracked down the center and has a 1/2" tear at the seam. There is a "7-1/2" size tag attached inside the brim but is very faded and fraying. Player number "41" appears under the brim in black marker. The cap appears to have no alterations of any kind.
