These two pieces originate from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame where Larry Bird was inducted in 1998. The Larry Bird Hall of Fame medallion measures 12” x 12” and weighs 4.5 pounds. The zinc medallion features the image of Bird’s face etched onto the front with a black background. The verso of the medallion features two pieces of masking tape that read “BIRD” and “57” along with two supports that once held the medallion onto the wall at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. The medallion is in EX condition. The second piece is an 18” x 18” aluminum plaque that features a summary of Bird’s career including statistics and records. Features a photo of Bird mid-dribble on the court at the Boston Garden. The verso features two strips of velcro that held in onto the wall at the Basketball Hall of Fame. The plaque weighs 3.5 pounds and is in EX condition with a scratch on the lower portion.
