Pedro Martinez is a lightning rod. Arguably the nastiest right-handed pitcher of his generation Martinez was a 3-Time Cy Young Award Winner and 3-Time Strike Out King of Baseball. His career 2.93 ERA is miniscule and 219-100 record dominant. Although his best seasons came in Boston helping the Red Sox capture the 2004 World Series his tenure in New York with the Mets was productive leading the Mets to the 2006 NLCS. Perhaps the only thing larger than his baseball skills was his personality. Never one to back down from a challenge fans could always count on Pedro to deliver.
