One of the most storied baseball parks in the country and home to the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park has seen its share of history. With the likes of Cy Young, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Carlton Fisk and now Ortiz and Ramirez having graced its playing field, Fenway is undeniably one of the most special places that baseball has left to call its own. Through the years, Fenway has undergone numerous renovation projects while retaining many of its idiosyncracies including its peculiar shape. The most recent change came before the 2003 season when a portion of the Green Monster in left field was removed in order to make room for wall-top seats. This lot offers piece of Fenway padding from the Green Monster measuring approximately 28" x 4" x 40" that had to be removed in order to construct the current seats. It is original Fenway green and is in very good condition. Comes with additional photos of the wall padding.
