Referred to as "Bill", "Willie," and "The Shoe", now deceased Shoemaker won 11 Triple Crown races during his 8,833 career victories. Shoemaker won his first horse race when he was 17. He went on to become the most successful jockey in history, winning the Kentucky Derby four times, the Belmont Stakes five times and the Preakness twice. In 1986, at the age of 54, he became the oldest jockey to win the Kentucky Derby. Inside the rear collar is the "Lorraine's Fashions" manufacturers tag. The silks are white with blue trim. "AK" appears on the back embroidered in blue. Adjacent is an autograph done in black marker rating an 8. The silks show wear and appear to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
