Jim Brown was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 1956 NFL draft. When all was said and done he departed as the NFL record holder for both single-season (1,863 in 1963) and career rushing (12,312 yards), as well as the all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (106), total touchdowns (126), and all-purpose yards (15,549). He was the first player ever to reach the 100 rushing touchdowns milestone. Brown's record of scoring 100 touchdowns in only 93 games stood until the 2006 season. Brown holds the record for total seasons leading the NFL in all-purpose yards and is the only rusher in NFL history to average over 100 yards per game for a career. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971. On the inside crotch piece is the King O’Shea manufacturers tag with an attached tag reading the size “46”. Adjacent is the Blepp-Coombs Sporting Goods Cleveland, O. distributors tag. Across the front, back and on both shoulders is the player number “32” done in brown tackle twill. The player numbers on the shoulders were added as “TV numbers” following the 1960 season making this jersey even more desirable. The tags show appropriate puckering. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light but definite use with stressing to the fabric and remains in fantastic overall condition. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA grading the jersey a 9.
