This Laney High Year book is from 1980, Michael Jordan’s junior year of High School. Entitled “The Spinnaker”, this is year book has “NINETEEN EIGHTY SPIN 80 NAKER” across the front done in gold. On page 167, there is a black and white photo of number “23” dunking a basketball with the caption “Mike Jordan always excites the fans when he jams the ball.” Adjacent to the photo is an inscription “To a very lovely young lady who meant a lot to me. See next year Love Michael Jordan.” The signature and inscription are done in bold blue ink and rate a strong 9 plus. This pre-Air Jordan signature is quite rare. On the adjacent page is a second photo of Jordan with the caption "Stretching for a basket, Mike Jordan jumps high in an attempt to secure the two points." The yearbook is in NM overall condition and is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
