Nicknamed "The A-Train" for his unpretentious but dominating style of play, the durable 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m) Gilmore once played in 670 consecutive games. Gilmore played in a total of six NBA All-Star Games. He led the NBA in field goal percentage in four consecutive seasons, including a career best .670 during the 1980-81 season — the third highest percentage in NBA history. He remains the NBA's career leader in field goal percentage (minimum 2000 shots made) with a 59.9 percentage. On the front tail of the jersey is the "RUSSELL" size "42" manufacturer's tag. Attached below are two additional flag tags, "100% NYLON" and “5” Extra Length.” Across the front of the jersey is "SAN ANTONIO" in white tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "53" in white tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "GILMORE" in white tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
