Hal Greer was drafted by the NBA’s Syracuse Nationals in 1958, playing with the team for five seasons and attaining a 22.8 points per game season average by 1961, the first year in which he was elected to the All-Star Game. In 1963, the Syracuse Nationals moved to Philadelphia to become the Philadelphia 76ers. There, Greer became well-known as a teammate of Wilt Chamberlain, and starred on the powerful 1966-67 team that ended the eight-year championship reign of the Bill Russell-led Boston Celtics. He also was chosen to the All-NBA Second Team seven times, and scored more than 20,000 points during his NBA career. Along with Oscar Robertson and Jerry West, Greer is usually considered one of the best guards of the 1960s. On the inside back collar of this warm-up fleece is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with the size "44" flag tag. Across the front is "PHILA" in red on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the player number "15" in red on blue tackle twill. On back is the “76” logo in red and blue tackle twill surrounded by thirteen stars in blue on red tackle twill. The jersey is autographed in the back inside collar in blue marker and rates a 9. On the back inside waistband of the fleece pants is the "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with the size "38" flag tag. On the upper left thigh is the player number “15” in red tackle twill. The jacket and pants show wear and appear to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
